BELLFLOWER SWIM LESSONS
The Los Cerritos YMCA offers Swim Lessons for every age and stage. Y Swim Lesson curriculum is based on a continuum that focuses on a skill-based progression that builds confidence and supports swimming skills. The continuum has three phases: Swim Starters, Swim Basics, and Swim Strokes. Each phase is broken into specific stages designed specifically for that age group on cognitive and social ability.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Financial assistance for our Day Camp programs is available to those who qualify. Applications are open for pick-up at our branch office and can be downloaded online. The Los Cerritos YMCA requires proof of household income with all applications and has the right to modify assistance depending on funding availability. In addition, please be sure to get your application in early, as it may take up to two weeks to process. Financial Aid applications must be submitted in person to our front desk or emailed to Brandy Sanders at Brandy.Sanders@lbymca.org. Also, we cannot apply for financial assistance for a past registration. Please refrain from registering until you have been notified about your application status. Yes, classes are constantly filling up quickly, and expected to have a waiting list.
The director constantly tries their best to add more classes where they can to remove participants from the waiting list. If more classes can get added, the Aquatics Director will notify you at least a day before classes begin.
If a child disenrolls from a class with a waiting list, the Aquatics Director will contact the participant in order of enrollment.
