Los Altos Family YMCA Kids' Club

Please ensure to sign up for Kids' Club on the LBymca app at least an hour before opening.

Parent Responsibilities

• Parents must remain at the Los Altos Family YMCA facility while their child is in Kids' Club.
• Parents must return within 90 minutes after signing in.
• Parents must sign out their child promptly, following the hours of operation.
• Please DO NOT bring small or sharp objects that could be a choking hazard. Avoid bringing electronic/valuable items or toys.
• Check the Lost and Found box for missing items.

Sickness Policy

• Avoid bringing your child to Kids' Club if they have been sick within the last 24 hours.
• Please inform our staff if your child has any allergies or medical issues.

Behavior Policy

• Children are expected to abide by the YMCA's core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
• Our staff will address any misbehavior and redirect to a different activity.
• Any notable or disruptive incidents will be documented and reported to parents.

10-Minute Crying Policy

• If your child cries continuously for 10 minutes without signs of calming despite the efforts of our staff, parents may be asked to sign out their child and return later.

Belongings, Clothing, and Food

• Label your child's items, such as bottles, bags, toys, coats, and containers, with their name.
• Children must wear shoes, and infants must wear socks.
• It is recommended that girls wear leggings under dresses or skirts.
• Parents may provide their child with a small snack and a water or milk bottle. Children must be seated at a table while eating.

Children Under 4 Years Old

• Children under six months should be accompanied by a baby carrier.
• Parents are responsible for taking their child to the restroom and for any diaper changes. 
• Please bring a supply of wipes, diapers, and pull-ups.
