GROUP EXERCISE - LAKEWOOD
Group exercise classes are highly motivating and a great way to make friends while getting an excellent workout. We are proud to offer 86 classes per week, varying from stretch and relaxation yoga classes to high-impact, high-energy kick boxing classes. We also offer classes designed primarily for seniors or those requiring a low to no impact workout. No registration or sign-up is needed to participate in a class, just show up ready to sweat!

GROUP EXERCISE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
MIND & BODY
Mat Pilates (60 min)
Developed over 90 years ago, this method of low impact body conditioning strengthens core muscles, improves balance and flexibility.
Pi-Yo( 60 min)
Emphasizes physical and mental relaxation, controlled breathing, balance, proper posture, strengthening, alignment & flexibility. Develop a keen sense of body/mind awareness. Designed for all levels.
T'ai Chi (60 min)
This class will help you look and feel younger as it improves stamina, teaches breathing & relaxation techniques, increases flexibility and balance, helps you lose weight. These ancient methods have been proven to help people of all ages live a healthier, happier life.
Y-Barre (60 min)
A unique, low impact, high-energy fusion of both Pilates, ballet and weight resistance designed to tone, long, lean muscles.
Yoga (60 min)
Focus is on breathing, strength development, proper alignment for maximum flexibility and transitions between poses. A class of concentration and discipline, using a variety of poses and controlled breathing techniques.
Kids Class: ages 5 and up
Yoga Flow (60 min)
A mixed-level class. We will flow through yoga poses while connecting breath with movement. Focus is on stretching, strengthening, and opening the body as well as proper alignment, breath work and a short meditation. Good for beginners and those who have prior yoga experience.
STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
Boot Camp (60 min)
An advanced exercise class consisting of plyometrics, strengthening, endurance and muscle conditioning.
Total Ball (60 min)
Total body strengthening and toning workout with the ball, working the core and balance at the same time.
Total Fit (60 min)
Taught by a Certified Personal Trainer with specific attention geared to the individual needs of the members. Includes weight training with hand weights, bands and stability balls. Some cardio, floor work and stretching.
P90X Live® (60 min)
Full-body strength training format, featuring four blocks of work: CardioX, Lower Strength, Upper Strength and X Core. The DVD program once designed for at-home use has been revamped for live studio setting. Live is suitable for all fitness levels and is fully modifiable.
TAG (Thighs-Abs-Glutes)(45 min)
Focusing primarily on the core muscles - abdominals, lower back, hips, glutes, and thighs - this popular 45-min. express workout is a great compliment to any exercise program.
Total Body Blast (60 min)
Want to work your heart, tone your arms, tighten your abs, glutes, and legs? Come join this high intensity class for wide variety of exercises that leaves no room for boredom. A beginner? Don't worry. Modify an go at your own pace until you get stronger. Total Body Blast will get you fit, energizedm and ready to start your day!
Les Mills Body Combat® (60 min)
This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts, and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, Boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi adn Muy Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors, you strike, punch kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.
Cardio Sculpt (60 min)
A great mixture of aerobics, cardio while building and sculpting muscles from upper and lower body, strengthen your core, improve your strength and flexibility while burning fat and calories.
CSI (60 min)
This cardio/strength combination class alternates strength exercises to sculpt every major muscle group with easy to follow cardio moves incorporating strength and toning.
Cycle (60 min)
This class, also known as “Indoor Cycling,” focuses on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity and recovery. Participants use a special stationery bike.
Step (60 min)
A low impact/high intensity class using a combination of moves on the step with intervals of body conditioning.
Step Interval (60 min)
This higher intensity step class uses a combination of step and alternative with bands, medicine balls and hand weights.
Zumba® (60 min)
Cardio class using a mix of Latin and international music to create a dynamic, fun and effective workout. This class is designed to utilize an interval-training format, combining various rhythms with movements that tone and sculpt the body.
Zumba® Gold (60 min)
Zumba Gold is specifically designed to take the exciting Latin and international dance rhythms created in the original Zumba program and bring them to the active older adult, the beginner and special populations. This workout is created to emphasize the basic skills of Zumba movements modified for the senior population.

Silver Sneakers® Classic (45 min)
Silver Sneakers® Circuit (60 min)
Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball is alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
Silver Sneakers® Stability (45 min)
Stability is the newest class designed to help you become stronger and improve balance. The movements taught in class focus on specific exercises to improve strength and power around the ankle, knee and hip joints, while improving your reaction time. This class is designed for fall prevention and is suitable for nearly every fitness level. It can be adapted based on the skill of the individual participant. A chair may be used for balance and support.
Y’s Way to Fitness (60 min)
This national YMCA class is a great, fun class for beginners, seniors and all wanting a low level of exercise and conditioning including lo-impact and body sculpting.
Aqua Boot Camp (60 min)
If you are looking for a workout which will maintain or increase your fitness level with less impact on your joints, a "liquid gym" is the place to be! This higher intensity class is designed to improve cardio conditioning, alternating with strength/balance and core training segments. Water exercise is an excellent modality for cross training and gives knees and backs a break from land based cardio workouts
Aqua Fit (60 min)
Safe, effective cardiovascular training in the pool. Great fun! This class is for men and women of all fitness levels and ages. Offering an overall mobility stretching, strengthening and aerobic workout.
Deep Water Aerobics (60 min)
This class is held in the deep end of the pool using equipment. Some swim skills are required. Moderate to intense workout.
Aqua Zumba® (60 min)
Those looking to make a splash by adding low-impact, high energy aquatic exercise to their fitness routine. This class blends the Zumba philosophy with water resistance, for one pool party you shouldn't miss.
