Knowledge, character development, guidance, and encouragement to help youth develop and realize their full potential! At the Y, we believe that all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve.
By providing licensed before and after school care, the Y helps children learn, grow and develop social skills in a safe nurturing environment. Program curriculum includes homework assistance, reading, arts and crafts projects, art appreciation, outdoor play, and specialty activities designed to the specific needs of the site. All after school programs include a nutritious snack and supper provided by the Y!
Effective July 14, 2023 all families that would like to register for the Los Cerritos Elementary, Carmelitos or Fairfield Family YMCA Before and After School programs, must register in person at the Fairfield Family YMCA main office.
Step 1:
Before you register, please pay your one-time registration fee at the Fairfield Family YMCA (Join the Y today to get your registration fee waived) call us at 562-423-0491 for more information.
Step 2:
Register in person at the Fairfield Family YMCA Main Office for the following locations:
Los Cerritos Elementary School YMCA Before and After School:
For students that attend Los Cerritos Elementary, Birney Elementary or Longfellow Elementary.
AM and PM care only available for Los Cerritos Elementary students.
PM Care transportation from school to the Los Cerrillos Elementary School YMCA Site available for the following schools: Birney Elementary or Longfellow Elementary
AM Care transportation from the Fairfield Y to school is available for Birney and Longfellow students.
Carmelitos YMCA Before and After School:
For students that attend Addams Elementary, Barton Elementary, Bret Harte Elementary, Colin Powell Academy, Dooley Elementary, Grant Elementary, Lindbergh Middle School, Hughes Middle School or Lindsey Middle School.
PM Care transportation from school to the Carmelitos YMCA Site available for the following schools:
Addams Elementary, Barton Elementary, Bret Harte Elementary, Colin Powell Academy, Dooley Elementary, Grant Elementary, Lindbergh Middle School, Hughes Middle School, or Lindsey Middle School.
AM Care transportation from the Fairfield Y to school is available for the schools listed above.
Fairfield Family YMCA Before and After School:
For students that attend Addams Elementary, Barton Elementary, Bret Harte Elementary, Colin Powell Academy, Dooley Elementary, Grant Elementary, Lindbergh Middle School, Hughes Middle School or Lindsey Middle School.
AM and PM Care transportation to and from available for the following schools:
Addams Elementary, Barton Elementary, Bret Harte Elementary, Colin Powell Academy, Dooley Elementary, Grant Elementary, Lindbergh Middle School, Hughes Middle School, or Lindsey Middle School.
Step 3:
You will receive a Campdocs email to complete your child's before and after school registration. Please contact us within 24 hours if you do not receive an email from us (Campdocs)
Step 4:
Once you've paid your registration fee and scheduled your payments or turned in your financial assistance application for a scholarship, a Site Director will be in contact with you to confirm your registration and additional information.
Most Families are able to get 100% of monthly fees covered!
